During the development of transmission technology, automobile's automatic gear-shift is becoming a very important studying aspect. Along with the domestic car age's coming, and the curbstone drivers' increasing, safe comfortable and easy driving cars are increasingly required. So a humanistic design of cars has become an important studying task. Automatic transmission has become more and more useful in automobile and especially in cars, and already been a key part of cars and multi- purpose vehicles, for AT has so many excellences as follows: convenient operation and smooth accelerate. Moreover, it can automatically shift gear in term of optimal occasion. This passage sets up the engine's numerical value model with multinomial fitting based on the data from its pedestal test, which is based on analyzing AT's structure and working principle. The original character curve of the conquer converter is used to analyses the matching question between engine and itself. The gear radio is solved from the general rule of the planetary gear mechanism. According to dynamic equation the simulating model of automatic shift gear system has been set gear-shift schedule's designing is researched because it is the core of automatic gear shifting. At the basic of analyzing of the automobile running dynamics equation, arming at the drive and economic character, according to the different among the target function, which has been selected in the process of optimized calculation, by means of the method of diagram and analyzing, we get the optimal shift schedule of motive type and economic type. According to the basic requirement of automatic gear shifting, every part of the controlling system is analyzed and designed. According to the character of vehicle's automatic gear shifting system, neutral network is brought forward to decide how to decide and control the position of gears. A judgment is set up by using two parameters to control position of gears based on RBF, neutral network is put in action in decision-making on the optimal position of gears and also MATLAB is used to network training and simulation. The result shows this method can perfectly identify where the best position of gears is.
