| In this paper, a new complex drive——Electromechanical integrated toroidal drive is presented. The kinematics, driving mechanism, stress and principle of the drive are researched. The main contents of the paper are as below: The formula of the speed ratio for the drive is given. The relationship between tooth number of the elements, pole pair number of the worm coils and lead angle of the element teeth is obtained. The mending condition of the drive is obtained as well. And formula of the stator tooth number which need correct mesh condition, mending condition and magnetic relation is given. Driving mechanism of the drive is researched. The spatial force model of the drive is presented. Forces between planet and worm or stator are analyzed. The formula of the output torque for the drive is given. The maximum output torques decided by worm and stator, respectively, are compared. The condition of equal limit torque is given as well. Effects of the drive parameters on output torque are analyzed. By means of unit load method and Mohr integration, the formula of the internal forces and torques of the spatial helical tooth for the stator are given. The stresses in the planet and stator teeth are deeply researched. The position at which the maximum stress occurs is determined. The strength theory of the drive is established. Based on kinematics and driving mechanism, the parameters of the drive are analyzed and determined. The solid models of the drive elements are given. The assembly simulation of the drive is completed as well. The principle model machine is designed and manufactured. The principle test is done as well. The test result shows that the drive theory is correct and feasible. |
