1. ForewordWhereas adopting new technique&craftwork as close-toierance casting&forging, sizing pressing, and powder metallurgy, modern engine parts producing industry still have 60-70% of it's gross parts maching as machanical-machining. Now that all existing machining&manufacting method will bring burr on some extent, it is crucial for the engine parts producing to investigating the burr's producing factors and how to inspecting&removeing it.The objective of burr removing lies to four aspect (inspecting, assembling, pruduct function and product's appearance). On inspecting aspect, the job is to prevent or reduce out-of-tolerance and reject due to the burr. On assembling aspect, especially on Auto-assemble, it is to prevent interposition and conflict of copulate parts due to burr. On aspect of pruduct function, the cleanness criterion's unfufilling due to the burr should be prevent to avoid the wear&failure of the engine. As for the appearance , the request of products and parts during design&producing must be fufilled.Burr produced in the procedure of engine parts producing relate to many factors, such as workpart's material and it's structure&form; design of product and craftwork; machining manner and producing organiation&administration. Burr reduce the quality and accuracy of engine's parts and products; bring on disadvantage and side-effect on parts' performance during inspecting and assemble; there life-span, safty and appearance.In the procedure of engine parts producing, it is both time consuming and cost increasing to remove burr of types of parts. Inquiry in USA and Japan show that the cost of burr-removing occupy 3% of the parts' machining cost. Same job will cost more for the engine parts poducing because of it's hign requirement, besides that the manual burr removing is an tiring and boring job, and the quality is hard to guarantee.Those burr-removing technics focus on the character&machanism of burr creation; convenient and applied burr-inspect method&apparatus; new burr-removing method and high efficient burr-removing instrument; less/no-burr-creating craftwork regulation,along with the technic progressing&production developing, are getting recognition of countries. Institutes were set up to develop and spread them. As a result, many burr-removing methods (burr-removing by high-pressure stream; press-honing and laser) and instruments (NC&CNC controled instrument) have come out, they get notable effect on production application and are increasingly widespread.2.The actuality of appliance of burr-removing technic in FAW Dalian Diesel's parts producing procedureFAW Dalian Diesel's main products are 6 cylinders' (series CA6DE) and 4 cylinders' (seriels 4D32) diesel engines. Self-making parts include cylinder block; cylinder head; crankshaft; rod clevel and camshaft. Typical craftworks of machining above parts include mill; drill; boring; lathe and grind. We are lag on the applying of burr-removing technic on parts machining procedure. The following is details.1) Lack of systemic analysis on the mechanism of burr-creating during machining analysis of burr-creating affected factors; contermeasures aren't pin to the point; methods of burr-removing aren't the best.2) Lack of effective burr-inspecting method, especially on inspecting of the burr in the deep oil-hole and holes crossing of cylinder block&crankshaft, commenly use accuracy unensured manner of flashlight&eyeballing, sometimes have to dissect to get to positions unreachable by the eyeballing and it's high costing.3) The craftworks of burr-removing undertaked are lag, mostly on manual. They are low effecient and can't ensure the quality.3.The analysis on the technic of burr-removing durring the parts producing procedure of FAWDLThis thesis makes an elementary analysis on types of burr created during FAWDL's engine parts machining procedure/ burr-creating affected factors/ the contermeasures.
