Deck surfacing is a technical difficult point in the construction of long span steel bridges. The working conditions and requirements of the application of surfacing are far more stringent than these of ordinary road pavements. With the influence of natural environment and traffic load, it is easy for deck to be damaged. To recent, there have not a design method for common use. In order to get up with the fast development of long span bridges in China, making extensive study of the paving structures and do some researches about mechanics analysis will have important theoretical meaning and application value.Using the hierarchical analytical method, the paper makes the mechanics analysis of the pave. The main researches included the following aspects and got the correlative results:Firstly, using the axial force of the principal beam as the control index, the paper make the mechanics analysis of the two dimensions FEA model, least favorable positions was found. Thought the research we find that the influence of the temperature stress is little.Secondly, from integral to part, the influence of bridge deform was studied. Using the compute simulate and the practice testing, we find that orthotropic steel bridge deck can reflect the real working condition of bridge deckThirdly, using the orthotropic steel bridge deck model, regularity of pave under the horizontal and the vertical load was found.Finally, using the orthotropic steel bridge deck model, the difference influence of the single-wheel and double-wheel was studied and the least favorable positions was found. We think that single-wheel is safety when use the max tensile stress as the control index and should choose double-wheel when the shear destroy of deck be studied.
