Because of the overweight vehicles, which lead to the premature deterioration and other serious steel deck surfacing damages, on steel deck pavement in China at present carry more and more percent in traffic volume,Use Performance of steel deck pavement is affected by overweight vehicles. Therefore, it is necessary to make a particular study of the adversary impact of over-load traffic on steel deck pavement.Load characteristics of steel deck pavement are investigated.Based on the results of the investigation,load contact form of steel deck pavement considering overweight vehicles is studied,and the main distress types of steel deck pavement are summarized.For the current equivalent axle-load conversion equations in asphalt pavement criterion cannot be adaptive to the overweight vehicles of steel deck surfacing, so based on the main distress types of steel deck pavement ,changing indexs of equivalent axle-load conversion are studied, new conversion equations are calculated and deduced by finite element analysis method. Then, the mechanism of rutting breakage on steel deck pavement and existed rut pre-evaluating methods are analysed. integrating with finite element software, rut pre-evaluating method of steel deck pavement is brought forward,high temperature performances of steel deck pavement is investigated infected by overweight transportation,at the time normal and low temperature performances do.Finally, the dissertation searchs after design parameters,considering overweight transportation, of steel deck pavement .
