Research On The Affinity Of The Architectural Edging Space In Downtown Of The City

As the understanding of the architectural space goes in depth, people have put their attention to the combination of inside and outside of architectural space and then led to the conception of architectural edging space. And it is the intermediary and transition of inside and outside of architectural space and it is one of "obscure space" and has many kinds of functions, infinite variety of form and substantial content. It has important functions for architectural environment's improvement.Just then, developments of modern cities meet many problems. The rapid development of industrial civilization led to the decline of city vigour. Residents of city are eager for being concerned and contacting with each other. The architectural space having affinity can let people satisfied and bring back humanistic city space. So this thesis paid attention to the ways and principles to form the architectural edging space having affinity in downtown from the aspects of historic heritage, design for satisfied people's behavior of communication and lie fallow, commercial behaviour, landscape and weather effect.This thesis can be divided into three parts. The first part has included Chapter One to Three and introduced background, objectives and methods of the study. Then it analyzed the concepts of the architectural edging space and affinity, the scale, type,function of architectural edging space; The second part has included Chapter Four to Nine and is the focal point of the thesis. These chapters paid attention to the ways to form the architectural edging space having affinity in downtown from the aspects of historic heritage, design for satisfied people's behavior of communication and lie fallow, commercial behaviour, landscape and weather effect. Then Chapter Nine introduced the way of AHP to conform the facts in chapters above and represent the importance of each facts; The third part has included Chapter Ten. And this part is field surveys for some architectural edging spaces to prove the design ways and principles getting above.This thesis put the study basing on the wide theories and examples and paid more attention to the states of architectural edging space in this city and presented many pictures in order to give some advices to the architectural design and practice at the contemporary era of our country, especially regional area.
