The Research Of Affinity Space In Environmental Art Design

With the dramatic development of industry, the appearance of modern cities has beenchanged profoundly. Though enchanted in the strength of machinery and the miracle oftransforming the world, we human beings have in return found out that the environmentwhich is crucial for our living has become black and blue. When retrospect, we have paida lot since the old-time harmony and tranquility got lost. Thus, we are compelled tore-think the problem of our living environment due to the harsh reality.Outdoor environment, the relationship between people and their living space included,not only meets the need of material, but also the needs of emotion, spirits and culture ofpeople’s life. It reflects the relationship between people and their living space. Withmodern city’s continuous changing of living style and pace，people are bothered by theincreasing tension and pressure. Therefore, people are more eager to find a pleasant place,which is close to nature, to relieve the pressure of work and daily life. Thus affinity hasplayed a more and more crucial role in environmental art design.According to the current available information, the studies of affinity design focusmostly on the design of industrial product and interior design. However, research aboutoutdoor environmental art, such as the principle of affinity design and the expression ofdesign language is relatively less. Thus there is still some research space left for thisarticle.This article, exploring from the perspective of the art design, which interprets theaffinity design, focuses on its connotation, design principles, and forms of expression, andsupplemented it by some examples. Through this research, we hope to create aharmonious relationship between human beings and nature in order to achieve the desireof ‘poetic dwelling’.This thesis can be divided into four parts.The first part (Chapter2): Relationship between the elements of environmentalbehavior and accessibility design. Analyzing the relationship between spatial behavior andaffinity design, the part indicates the necessity of affinity environmental design.The second part (Chapter3-4): Design method of affinity in environmental art. This part discusses the concept, principles and expression of the affinity design.The third part (chapter5-6): The practice for the affinity design of environmental art.The part goes much further on affinity design features of the wetland environment,with environmental art design practical exploration on Xiuzhou Wetland Park in Jiaxing.The fourth part (Chapter7): Conclusion. This part describes the value andsignificance of the affinity design of environmental art, the hope to create the harmoniousrelationship between human and nature, and the outlook to the affinity design ofenvironmental art.
