As the important physiology and biochemistry indexes, the parameters of the blood and oxygen of human body tissue have been used widely in the fields of sport physiology, clinical medicine and real-time monitor to detect and assess the state of human being's body. The oximeters based on the theory of near infrared (NIR) technique has high accuracy not only, but will not injure the subjects. They are appropriate for Real-Time and consecutive inspection. The shortcomings of the traditional method---vitro measure, are overcome in this kind of system. For the requirement of actual applications, author made out a resolution of a portable oximeter based on the theory of near infrared (NIR) technique and developed an apparatus with low-power design. This project was described in four parts mainly: the first part introduced the theory of near infrared (NIR) and the characteristic of light transmission in tissue. The arithmetic was deduced based on the theory; the second part gave out a viewpoint of high-density and low-power design, and summarized a series of resolutions from practice; the third part described the whole system, detailed the circuit design of sensor and host machine, and then some problems about PCB anti-jamming were discussed; the last part verified the system's feasibility via the experiments of cell-breath model and validated the system's practicability by the vivo experiments, then analyzed the test results in the end.
