The prime mover system is one of the factors that affect the transient course of electric power system. And its characteristic, which is closely correlated with the running of electric power system, has infection not only on the system frequency and the adjustment of the power of dynamo, but greatly on the transient stabilization and non-synchronous running. Therefore, the research of the prime mover system emulator,the establishment of the indoor electric power system, the simulation of the real prime mover (mainly a water machine and steam machine)and its governor system and self-equilibrium characteristics within the electric power system in the laboratory are the most economic, the most convenient but safest important tool in research to the electric power system.This thesis discussed the development of the simulation model of mover system proceeded from the theories of simulation, automation control and electronic technology.. Based on present achievements on the development of the mathematical model of mover system for integrative dynamo, the author established and perfected the mathematical model of the emulator of the simulation control type prime mover system and completed the design of the hardware circuit of the system, the adjustment of the system, the experiments and the analysis of the static and dynamic characteristics. Through experiment and waves recording, the author analyzed the static and dynamic characteristics of the model of governor system thoroughly, and summed up some basic principles of the dynamic characteristics affected by the different parameters, discussed simulation on negative-going and gate opening rate putted out by governor machine. This model successfully realized the simulation of various characteristics of the prime mover system, had the same dynamic characteristic with the prime type, so it provided the effective tool for the research and comprehending of the influence to the system caused by the changed parameter of the governor and the influence to the running state of the power system caused by the governor system of the prime mover.The simulation model used the late-model and high sufficient circuit (TC787)instead of the isolated components or the circuit of KJ/KC series, simplified the hardware circuitry, used the appropriation model of the operation amplifier, succeeded and developed further the proper advantages that the simulation control type prime mover system had good function and quick response, is easy to maintenance and realization, is also economic and useful. .
