In order to research the variation law of seepage field and stress fieldduring excavation and its influence on the problems of stability of deepfoundation pit,based on Darcy's law,the principle of effective stress, theequilibrium differential equation,elastic-plastic deformation equation aswell as coupled constitutive equation, a coupled model of stress field andseepage field is developed.By the finite element simulation,we tried tograsp the basic laws of environmental effects,such as ground surbsidencein the range of excavations and adjacent zones in the process ofexcavation and rainfall so that we could offer examples for the excavationdesign of deep foundation pit . Apllying BP algorithm of artificial neural net to the problem ofestimation of soil parameter,especially the problem of estimation ofmulti-layer soil pramater.Compared with the traditional back analysismethod,the method avoids sensibility analysis and is easy to master andimplant and has the advantage of visualized concept. The coupled model is applied to example to analyse the basic law ofthe varitation of stress field and seepage field ,the deformation offoundation pit and stability in the cases of different precipitation.
