This paper studies on optimum of the electrode configuration parameter and the electric parameter of negative ion generator. At the same time, the paper also designs and analyzes high-voltage DC power supply for negative ion generator.Two major performance parameters of negative ion generator are negative ion concentration and ozone concentration. The negative ion can purify air, so it's helpful to healthy. However, ozone has strong oxidation, so it will be hurtful to people if the concentration is too high. This paper combines with research in existence under the condition of laboratory, and generates high concentration negative ion with negative high-voltage corona discharge. It reduces generation of ozone using corona discharge electrode heating technique because corona discharge can generate ozone, then ozone concentration can reach demand of environment protection (<56ppb). Based on the related theory of generator corona discharge and air purified, the paper studies the effect of the electrode configuration parameter and the electric parameter on it's performance, the parameter includes corona discharge voltage, corona wire heating voltage, discharge electrode gap, grounded electrode mesh, length of corona wire et al. The research is very helpful to rational design of negative ion generator, and confirms the configuration parameter and the electric parameter of negative ion generator relies on research result.The paper adopts high frequency switching high voltage DC power supply technique combined with development of modern electric and electronics technology according as power supply demand of negative ion generator and practicability of equipment. Due to leaking inductance of high frequency and high-voltage transformer is high, so high-voltage power supply adopts soft switching technology, then the waste of switching is reduced effectively, the bulk of equipment is reduced because of increase of frequency. The paper emphasizes on analysis and design of the whole power supply circuit, such as characteristic of high-voltage power supply, analysis and design of the main circuit frame, characteristic analysis and design of the transformer, design of the controlling circuit, et al.
