People extracted experiences from the struggle against flood all time, and somerules about flood evaluation have been known. The flood proofing in Haihe River isvery difficult because of the special location and its importance. As the historicalflood process is different from the current as well as there is no large scale flood inHaihe River Basin during the past three decades, the precise flood forecast has been acomplicated question. Through the introduction of the Flood Forecast System on Beiyunhe River andmany advanced techniques, some flood-warning methods have been studied in thethesis. First the development of flood forecast techniques, hydrologic models, runoffproducing and concentrating theories and mathematical prediction models in ourcountry and abroad have stated. On basis of the analysis of the current situation inBeiyunhe River, Several methods have been adopted to predict flood in the thesis.Calculated automatically with the aid of the computer, the prediction results are asgood as expected.
