Design And Research On Main Monitoring Station Of WAMS In Power Grid

The measurement and application of real-time power angle are paid more and more attention following the improvement of State Grid Interconnection. In this paper, a WAMS (Wide Area Measurement System) with new structure based on GPS is developed. Under the work of requirements analysis, whole system design, and platform selection of industrial control software used for monitoring and data processing, a flexible, expansible distribution system was setup. The system has passed the test of two-terminal model and three-terminal ring model in advanced RTDS system, and some features of grid fault was analyzed. On the same time, some problem about communication and application of WAMS are analyzed, and the solutions are provided in this paper.
