Based on the stress analysis of the drum and the optimization theory, by setting the time interval of each pressure variation stage as optimal variable, an optimal model is developed to reduce the fatigue damage in boiler drum and cut down the time consumed in the start-up process. The curves of cold state start-up and heat state start-up process of 400T/H boiler drum are presented with the optimal model. According to optimal curve to start-up, boiler drum not only reduces fatigue damage, but also cut down the start-up time. The model has significance for engineering applications. The module of start-up and shutdown optimization is constituted. This system can not only do online stress-analysis, but also track start-up and shutdown process. We can constitute the optimization project of start-up and shutdown in all kinds of conditions. It directs the uses to operate economically and safely.
