The drum for 600MW subcritical boiler is a very important equipment,whose safe operation has been highlighted within the boiler industry.For the strength safety of pressure vessels,a large amount of studies have been carried out based on the methods of vessel openings reinforcement or by controlling drum operation parameters or regulating operation procedures.But the study on optimization of the opening ways is few,not mention the systematical study.Along with the development of boiler technology,it is necessary to make more study on boiler opening ways to meet the higher requirements of operation of the boilers with higher parameters and lift drum configuration safety and performance.In this paper,using the finite element method,a 3D analysis model of 600MW subcritical boiler drum is built.The results of the study on the influence of single opening(with various locations,different opening direction or different opening dense rate)on the stress distribution of different opening state is obtained,and the corresponding optimization scheme for each opening is proposed.The influence of nozzle spacing and the distance(between the opening nozzle on the head and intersecting line)on drum strength is studied,the results showed that the design parameters which according to the standard GB/T16507 has large safety margin and it is conservatively.When the nozzles is densely.nozzles should arrange along the circumferential direction of the drum.The influence of thickness on the drum strength has also be discussed in this paper and the optimization scheme for reducing drum thickness is proposed.
