The double transmission line on the same tower requires narrow corridors, thetransmission ability is strong, and investment is saved. Thereby,it is used by line system moreand more. Due to the effect of the line faults for the stability and reliability of power systemis not neglected, the fault location had become a problem that got more attention from thedepartment of power network management and experts. The structure of the double line onthe same tower is complex, and fault location is more difficult. This paper compares andanalyses all sorts of fault location algorithms, based on the previous work, and puts forward anew fault location algorithm for transposed/untransposed double transmission line on thesame tower, considering correcting the effect of CT error. The algorithm is deducted from theories, the algorithm adopts the line's model ofdistributing parameter, and considers the problem that can identify the inaccuracy parameter,uses two-end datas and six-order component. By EMTP simulating, the results manifest allalgorithms' correctness and validity. The precision is quite high.
