The theory and means of evaluation is researched that base on condition character spaceof equipment in the paper. The main faults of complex equipment can be confirmed byFMEA and the deadliness degree analysis. The character parameter of evaluation for thecondition is distilled according to the clue of the main faults of equipment. It affords a newmethod for constructing the condition character space. It researches the theory models for thecondition evaluation of equipment and puts forward a common method and approach ofcondition evaluation of complicated equipment. It chose the DEH Control System of a 300MW Stream Turbine in power plant whichwas produced by shanghai xinhua power plant control engineering-corporation as researchobject. The condition of the DEH Control System was evaluated by the variable weight fuzzysynthesizing evaluation mode. It realizes elementary orientation of the faults of the DEHControl System. And the result of evaluation can afford scientific basis for maintenancedecision-making. The soft of condition evaluation for equipment in power plant is total designed in thepaper at last. And the main function modules of the soft are developed. This work is a usefulsearch for the practice of the technique of condition evaluation.
