The simulation of hydropower plant is a new-style subject, which combines several subjects such as waterpower, electric power, mechanism, electrician, control and computer into a unit. It has a very wide application prospects.At present, the simulation machine of hydropower plants, which has already run at home are always designed for mixed flow type turbine, while the machine of axial flow Kaplan type turbine has not been appeared yet. The paper makes a deeper research on the simulation of main units of axial flow Kaplan type turbine on the basis of Fuchunjiang Hydropower Station.Several following questions are resolved in this paper:1. According to the character of Fuchunjiang Hydropower Station, not only the pattern of simulation system is decided, but also the constitution and the development support software system are described.2. The mathematic simulation model of main units (diversion system, turbine, generator, excitation system, and governor) are designed for Fuchunjiang Hydropower Station in this paper. For the axial flow Kaplan type turbine is equipped with dual control system, this paper make a further study on the on-cam relationship of the governor units and proposed a mathematical combination model.3. The paper makes a research on the main simulation parts of Fuchunjiang Hydropower Station. Taking the No.1 unit as an example, a simulation calculation has been made about one part of the working state of the generating unit and a detailed analysis is made about the simulation results.
