"A new view with each different step" is the vivid description of Chinese traditional gardens and also the symbol of great achievement Chinese environmental art design once made in history, but contemporary Chinese design has fallen into the lowest position, which is caused by either thoroughly westernization or blindly returning to the ancients, lacking in innovative thinking and method. In the world, the development of modern gardens industry shows that art-oriented traditional gardens industry is coming to a new age of Landscape Architecture which has paid more attention to environmental protection and utilization. While concerning the humanistic feature of Landscape Architecture and the culture-oriented background of Post-modernism design, Environmental Art Design conforming to the art-developing trend shows incomparable impact of times and value of eternality. By right of Art Design knowledge, Environmental Art Design specializes in the aesthetic form applied inmodem landscape design and proves that Art is still the soul of modem landscape design.As a new concept of "a new view with each different step", deconstrutive style is the most artistic, influential, and innovational idea or method in contemporary western environmental art design, so this thesis proceeds from projects investigation and theoretical analysis in terms of philosophical, art, cultural and historical point of view to study the formation of deconstrutive style. Seeing that landscape design pays much more attention to layout plan compared to architecture design, this thesis tries to apply the aesthetic form to discuss the deconstrutive style in contemporary landscape design. According to the rule that architecture design influences landscape design and the condition that deconstrutive style landscape has a short history, this thesis proceeds from the broad sense of environmental design and refers to architecture design, studying the formation of deconstrutive style landscape design. According to the design art theories, this thesis sets off an demonstration in depth and has some conclusions as follows:Firstly, in the light of design history, this thesis studies the influence from modem philosophy on deconstrutive architecture design and obtains a result that deconstrutive style has no inevitable relation to philosophy. Secondly, from the high plan of design criticism, this thesis mainly discusses the consanguineous relation between the aesthetics of geometrysummarized in modernism design and modern abstract art in 20th century, moreover, from the study of feature of the deconstrutive form, it infers that the aesthetics of deconstrutive style is similar with the aesthetics of geometry. While the study of modern picture composition strongly proved that the aesthetics of free form decides the artistic direction of deconstrutive style, which is the exaggerating copy of the aesthetics of geometry.Thirdly, in the light of design theory, it mainly analyses the development of modern anti-mainstream landscape design so as to prove that deconstrutive style is the inevitable outcome of free form aesthetics and modern picture composition theory. Furthermore, it argues that composition art is either the specific expression of deconstrutive aesthetics or the major method to innovational contemporary western environmental art design.
