In order to meet customer's diversified and individualized demands, developing product customization through internet has been becoming an important tactics for manufacturing enterprise to gain competition superiority in new competitive environment, but there are technology barrier and cost risk for manufacturing enterprise to develop product customization by information technology, at the same time individual enterprise's product customization goes against marketing theory, and limit the freedom of customer freely selecting product, thus it can not be supported by customers.In view of features of product customization and basic theory of IT service mode Application Service Provider (ASP), Customization Asp Platform (CAP) is put forward. The CAP is a product commerce platform being geared to the needs of information era. It builds up a commerce environment facing individual customer and meeting individualized demands at any moment and at any place for enterprise at low cost; at the same time it builds up a supermarket in which it is convenient to select and customize product on every side. And then, the business organization mode of general platform provider, professional platform proprietor and manufacturing enterprise collaboration, developing strategy of general product customization software, business flow of collaborative work and based-on .NET three layers browser/server architecture are researched.Product information organization is the base of provider developing general product customization software platform, manufacturing enterprise defining heterogeneous and heterostructure products and buyer searching, selecting, configuring product. In order to provide information organization rule and information storage mode, information search tool and information show pattern, the research has been carried on the following aspects focusing on product information three layers:Product Group is product aggregation with same attribute fields which can meet same function demand. Product group class tree is put forward to organize product group, which is product group logic organization model. A storage mode of creating son product group table by inheriting father product group attribute fields is put forward to store product information, which is product groupphysical organization mode. They are propitious to realization of product submitting module, product researching module and product selecting module which are driven by data structure. Product group provide a managing mass products mechanism regularly and efficiently for PC-ASP.Product team is a cooperating products team. Product team logic organization mode, physical organization mode and realization mechanism are reached. Product team benefits customer to select cooperating products set and benefits manufacturing enterprise to mine business chance.Product family is a bridge of individualized demand and mass production, which is made of assembly family and part family. Assembly family is put forward to manage assembly relationships which can be configured by customer, part family is forward to manage product element which can be customized, which is product family logic model. The method of VRML-based products model data visualization has been proposed through the research of Web-based visualization technology. Interactive and collaborative visualization for product structure, part model and its assembly relationships has been realized, which is product family realization mechanism. Product family provides realization mechanism of product customization service for PC-ASP.Finally, an example is introduced to illustrate the realization of PC-ASP. It represents the goal, function modules and main interfaces of PC-ASP.
