A market competition edge is given by mass customization (MC) for enterprises. Collaborative product development (CPD) is one of the strongest supporting technologies in MC implementation. Therefore, focused on the field of MC, research on the theories and key technologies of CPD to have the important theories meaning and the application values.The existent problems and the development trends are analyzed on MC based CPD research. This paper takes strengthening to make the manufacturing enterprise customization product development ability as the target. From collaborative product design and collaborative product make two levels, the key technologies are researched which include the principle and implement method of product collaborative design, product family modeling and product multi-dimensional information (PMDI) integrating and MC based shared equipment resource managing. The main characteristics and creative ideas of the dissertation are as follows:(1) Combined with product design and product make two layer technique realizations in the customization product development process, product multi-dimensional information model and shared equipment resource based CPD method is put forward. The correspond CPD process model is built. On this foundation, a four layer CPD system structure is presented, which is composed of Data resources layer, sub-system function layer, application enabling tool layer and collaborative development organize layer. The more perfect function model is worked out also.(2) According to analyzing of the technique characteristic and process formal description of the collaborative product design, the concept which design reuse contains design result reuse and process knowledge reuse is proposed, and the difference ways and methods to carry out are researched. The case of gear design agent and the tool machine product collaborative design system is given to take the distribution collaborative product design task.(3) Starting with analyzing the definition, composition and description of product family model for MC, focused on the data forming process of the customization product development life-cycle, PMDI integrative description model is put forward, in which the topology and related data structure is also explored. A method to standardize XML based PMDI release is proposed, and the information safety strategy model is researched. The case of machine tool product customization request file is given to discuss the way to standardize product non-structural information and release in multi-user diagram safely in detail.(4) In order to meet the query needs in different phases of product design, the description model of component attribute index is designed on the subclass of PMDI. The matching method for XML based component query and attribute similarity algorithm is presented. Based on fuzzy cluster analysis, by analyzing the spatial knowledge of pixels' hue matrix and extracting statistic features of image, a scheme for recognizing component images in product manufacturing process is presented.(5) Viewing on providing services by network and concurrent engineering, web service technique system model and the implement method for MC is discussed, and the general framework of CAE tele-service is put forward. According to it, the workflow of web app-service system is defined, and system main support function modules are designed also. Furthermore, the implementing method and the correspondent enabling techniques, such as to concurrently solve product-optimizing problems, the mechanism of model-transforming agent and the ANSYS parametric design language (APDL) command batch programming etc., are explored in depth. Finally, a software prototype of CAE tele-service platform is developed to analyze the machine tool components by web service as a verification of above ideas.(6) To manage the shared equipment informatizati on, a general framework of shared equipment management information system is put forward. Application tactics of equipment-info collecting online based on distributing infranet are proposed. Aimed at the info-processing automatization, the key technologies and approaches are researched, which are used to intercept and recognize manufacturing process information inside equipment or among equipments by fieldbus.
