The construction damping is an important motive parameter of a building. It is very big difference to every country to use it. And damping value of the same kind of material is similar in spite high or low, big or small, office or building. The use is out of place. So this paper has a research to the construction damping. The main work is as follows:1. Collected the large quantity data of the domestic and international, analyzed the development history of the construction damping and wind engineering, discussed the research meaning of this paper.2. Analyzed every kind of influence factor of construction damping.3. tested the construction response of Shanghai economic and commercial building in "Yuna typhoon" and at the same time sampled the wind speed and vane at New shanghai international building' s roof of 167. 5 meter.4. Analyzed wind theory and characteristics, reasoned the wind formula by WAWS.5. Analyzed the time method in modal analysis, established the matlab programs by applying the random reducing technique and ITD, analyzed the construction response of Shanghai economic and commercial building in"Yuna typhoon" , get the main nature vibration frequency , modal , damping, compared with the norm, put forward to the influence regulation of the calculation result by the sampling length.6. Finally, this paper put forward the question needing studying further on the basis of summarizing these work.
