Inertial navigation system was used to get the attitude information at the past.But with the development of the low-cost attitude determination systems, many plans have been proposed. GPS also has taken a seat in this field .GPS attitude determination methods based on multi-antenna have applied in many fields,but single-antenna GPS based attitude system still in a preliminary stage . The fundamental principle of for synthesizing aircraft attitude information from single-antenna is presented in this paper.First the basic principles are deduced and mathematic model is also set up.Then the relevant errors are discussed.After that according to the measurement scheme described in this paper, a test machine based on ARM is designed and uClinux is also ported to the system,which increase the capability of data processing.uClinux is one of the most popular operating systems for the embedded system.It is designed potitularly to meet the need of processors without memory management unit.On the basis of the operating system,relevant softwares are also developed to handle the data.The processor receives the data from GPS receiver and completes the relevant computation. The result shows that it is a practical method to get aircraft's attitude information. The new method proposed in this article is different with the tranditional attitude determination theory. On the basis of the method above,a new attitude determination system is also degigned.This system is small in size as well as low cost. It is a good solution for the light aircrafts and will be used widely in other fields in the future.
