With the rapid development of civil engineering, the resource of concrete aggregates is decreased day after day. Especially in traffic engineering, aggregate shortages often occur because they are limited by geographical conditions. At the same time, the excavated rock in tunnel and underground engineering, as solid offal, not only occupy valuable land but also pollute environment to some extent. In order to decrease the unit cost of concrete, increase the utilization of aggregate resource and construction efficiency, in this dissertation, dealing with practical projection, studies on preparation of concrete with engineering refuse as aggregates. Firstly, continuously graded aggregates with 15mm maximum size are obtained through several crushers. These crushed stone size distribution are compared and the performance of concrete preparing with them are compared, too. The optimal crusher is chosen out that can get well graded crushed stone. Secondly, based on testing the optimized proportion of sand stone concrete is obtained. This thesis compares the sand stone concrete at optimized proportion with ordinary concrete at the same proportion in physical properties and mechanical behaviors. The results show that the sand stone can meet the technical requirements of ordinary concrete and it is a good kind of aggregates for preparing concrete using in tunnel and underground engineering. In the same proportion the sand stone concrete with several content of dust and ordinary concrete are compared in micro morphology. The results show that the degree of compaction of sand stone concrete is higher than that of ordinary concrete when the content of dust is 5%. Lastly, the sand stone shotcrete and sand stone pumped concrete are experimentally studied. It is obtained in practice that the compressive strength of sand stone shotcrete at age of 28d is 27.1MPa and that of sand stone pumped concrete is 36.8MPa.The sand stone concrete can instead of ordinary concrete using in tunnel and underground engineering. This dissertation uses crushed engineering refuse as aggregates to make sand stone shotcrete and sand stone pumped concrete to apply to tunnel and underground engineering. It can make the best of the resource, enhance engineering efficiency, reduce the costs, and protect the environment. It is valuable in engineering application. So that it merits popularization.
