Switched reluctance motor (SRM) takes on the merits such as simple and tightness structure, small figure and weight, high stabilization, low cost, etc. Switched reluctance drive system (SRD) is a new drive system with high potential after the application of AC or DC motor drive system. It is supported by SRM, power electronics and control technology. So it has the advantages like simple structure and high stabilization as AC motor drive system and the advantages like easy to control as DC motor drive system. Besides these, it also has its own advantages such as low cost, high efficiency, so it will power competition in commercial application.To take the application of using SRM as power electric actuators motor as its research background, this thesis analyzes the characteristic and control methods of SRM and introduces some new control strategy. Firstly, this thesis introduces power electric actuators and its motor. Secondly, it points out the advantages of using SR motor and AC step motion control theory. Based on the analysis of the structure and principle of SRM, this thesis studies the mathematic model, torque, wire current and control methods of SRM in order to research of SRM control strategy.Appling the step motion control to SRM drive system, this thesis proposes SRM torque-angle characteristic and torque star map and draws a micro-step control method to minimize the torque and achieve the high performance of servo control. This method applied to the power electric actuators. This thesis proposes a new method applying current hysteresis-band to SRM.This thesis also studies the methods for sensorless of SRM and proposes a new method to modify the nonlinear fuzzy model with motion equation in order to improve the accuracy and reliability.It designs a new power converter which can support micro-step control and a new system controller with voltage PWM, current detection and position detection based on TMS320F240 DSR Finally, using MATLAB to build a simulation model, there has a analysis for the performance of the system. According to the analysis, the experiments have done. The results indicate that this power electric actuators has simple structure, high stabilization, low cost, high dynamic and static performance and has broad developing prospects.
