The Yellow River cuts through Ningxia, bringing abundant water resources to the oasis. Then the oasis becomes the most rich and populous region of Ningxia. However, the local water resource of Ningxia oasis is needy, without the Yellow River, the oasis is barely able to exist and obtain development. In recent years, the northwest of china has kept on dry, at the same time, actual water flow in upstream of the Yellow River have been decreasing. Therefore, the index sign of Ningxia oasis's water consumption allotment must correspondingly reduce. The total amount of water resource is shortage and the antinomy between economical use of water and ecological use of water becomes more and more outstanding. The economical use of water has shared the ecological use of water and the farmland has shared more the lawn. The weak oasis ecosystem has turned worse and the sustainable development has been endangered. Therefore, at the time of developing the economy, the ecological use of water should get appropriately satisfied. Under the condition of lacking of water, the oasis's regional land and water resources must be rationally allocated to ensure its stabilizability. This text studies on oasis ecosystem structure and matching model of land and water resources. In virtue of the data of remote sensing Ningxia oasis in 1985 and 2000,from the angle of sight ecology, carrying on the analysis of the oasis sight structure and judging to gain the oasis present ecosystem condition and evolvement trend and the moving reason of evolvement trend. The oasis of Ningxia regards agriculture as principle, a large proportion of total water use is for agriculture irrigation. For irrigating over a long period of time, the situation of irrigation district's underlying surface has been changed as humid area, forming unique oasis effect. Yet, under the situation of extraordinarily lacking of water resource, immoderately enlarging irrigation area is not economical and practical. On the theory of balance between water and heat, the tranquillisation of oasis means that transpiration loss almost accord with input of total surface water supply and groundwater increment. On this theory, the result indicates that the increase of irrigation water has caused the decline of oasis's stability. Viewing from the concept, Ningxia oasis which includes to pay much attention to the rational and efficient utilization of the waterresources, to promote synchrony advance of economic and ecological benefits, to ensure ecological water requirement and ecological safety, and to improve the allocation models of land and water resources through optimal approaches.
