BackgroundThe single sensor rate adaptive pacemaker, which is now widely used, more and more appears its shortage of function. Combination use of more sensors meets the need of people's request for adaptive rate in theory, but this kind of technology comes up rather lately, people know much less about it.MethodThis study enrolls the patients who had a rate adaptive pacemaker implanted before December,2004 at the No.l affiliated hospital of China Medical University and those with no severe arrythmia. The people are divided into three groups: the first is the subgroup of using the active sensor rate adaptive pacemaker; the second is the subgroup of using the active-QTinterval sensor rate adaptive pacemaker; the third is the subgroup of control who are with the normal sinus node function. The people's lowest heart rate of resting and sleeping are got through 24-hour ECG monitoring or Holter monitoring of the pacemaker itself, and then the heart rate variance of the people is compared. The data were got at least 4 weeks after the pacemaker implanted, and at the time of using the corresponding adaptive sensor mode.ResultA total of 53patients are enrolled in the study and divided into three groups according to whether having pacemaker or not and the type of...
