Based on the fast higher order Taylor series method for transient stability simulation and combined with the trapezoidal rule of implicit integration, an implicit Taylor series method for transient stability simulation is received. The paper analyses the numerical stability of this new method and develops a tunable implicit Taylor series method. In order to keep the advantage of veracity, the implicit method is improved to be a full-tunable implicit Taylor series method. This method has the explicit Taylor series method's advantages of nicety, celerity, advanced by step and programming simplicity, it improves the numerical stability evidently as well. The analysis and computer simulation indicates this method has such advantages as the numerical stability of implicit integration, the longer time step size and the ability for long time dynamic stability simulation. It also has such good abilities as programming simplicity, reliability and flexibility.
