In order to solve the poor stability problem of the original implicit Taylor series method, this paper proposed a way that by setting the proper positions and values of the parameters to improve the Taylor series method to be both high accuracy and A stable. This paper also makes analysis about the performances of the algorithom such as numerical stablity, numerical accuracy etc. Mathematical analysis is mainly adopted to get the conclusion. Suitable stability domain and high precision are embodied in the theoretical analysis, which result in good effect on programming and simulation. Simulation and analysis indicate that the tunned implict taylor series method for simulation of power system transient not only has the characteristics of the explicit Taylor series method such as accuracy, nicety, ability to recurrence and programming simplicity, but also has the merits such as the numerical stability of implicit integration, the longer time step size and the ability for long time dynamic stability simulation.
