The soft-starting and power-saving control and protection of the asynchronous motor are studied in this thesis. With the 80C196KC micro-computer, the comprehensive control is achieved. The model of the asynchronous motor and the operating status under the thyristors controlled circuit are analyzed. Based on MATLAB/Simulink, the emulator of voltage-regulating circuit and the fuzzy controller is built. In this paper, the power-saving operation of the asynchronous motor under different kinds of loads is analyzed theoretically. With the thyristors, the power-saving operation under low voltage is presented. The fault characteristics of the asynchronous motor is analyzed and the primary circuits are given out and the flow chart of the software is worked out.
