Though urbanization has promoted social progress, promoted the improvement , growth of the economic benefits and completion of urban function and urban system of productivity, which brings a series of inconvenient even disasters to urbanite' s life, social development, cause enormous losses to city because of the unreasonable place of growing in the urban planning. It is the best importance that nowadays reduces disasters in the focal point of the work both at home and abroad that strengthen the urban calamity of defence, control, the ability to resist, provide, relief the calamities synthetically, and the urban green space system occupies very important position in the system of providing disaster relief of comprehensive disaster prevention and reduction of the city.Pudong New Area is the newly-built urban area of 1990s in Shanghai since the reform and opening-up, it is Shanghai the largest district too, it is all more rational for its urban planning overall arrangement to compare with other cities and even other urban areas in Shanghai, all kinds of urban green land index relatively high, but taking a broad view of present green space of Pudong New Area, it was planned still taking view , ecological function as the core, not seeing systematic disaster prevention and reduction function studied yet, so a subject, while analysing the urban calamity and green land construction, trying to analyse taking precautions against urban calamities on function of existing green space of Pudong New Area, and putting forward the suggestion that build taking precautions against calamities the park in Pudong New Area.This subject for research is base on the sustainable development thought and environmental protection theory, ecology theory , urban planning principle , urban green space planning and such theory , principle etc. correlated with urban green space planning and construction, combine and use the calamity, environmental protection to study, such multi-disciplinary theories as the city takes precautions against calamities and studies carry on research, have explained systematically the concept and development of the urban green space, and type, production factors of the urban calamity first , have analysed the disaster prevention and reduction principle and function of urban green space to various kinds of the city calamities and then.Seeing that urban various in style calamity, and green land is only a kind of key element of the method among most way of disaster prevention and reduction. So the subject for research can only be on the basis of existing systematic planning of green space in Pudong New Area, discuss the disaster prevention and reduction function on the calamity of some cities of urban green space emphatically, expect in the income to some extent of several following respects:1, Relation of urban green space and taking refuge and reduce natural disasters in earthquake;2, Prevention and cure to the urban surface subsidence calamity of green space;3, Improvement of the urban tropical island effect of green space;4, Impact on urban calamity of different green space pattern.Hope to analyse these respects , draw the rational conclusion , offer the new thinking direction for the fact that the urban green space is planned , offer the reference basis for the fact that the disaster prevention and reduction of the city is planned , managed , made policy.
