This thesis has carried on the research of the bamboo applying in modern interior as follows: first of all, the thesis reviews the importance for the interior design to choose material , But the performance of the material is to take the craft technique as the premise. The material construction is a relation that studying the of material structure, technique and its art performance. Take the bamboo as the research object, one hand is because of the material meaning of the bamboo , on the other hand according to today social milieu , Compare to the other materials, the bamboo have the ecosystem and can keep on to develop . The thesis is from its physical property as beginning of the material research of the bamboo, First analyze the meaning of the bamboo in history and the material facial expression in nowdays;Then put forward to the construction research of the bamboo, not only is the concerning the bamboo material that we have had technique at present, but constructs the latent bamboo art manifestation at these kinds of technique. The bamboo applying in interior design is divided into the structure material and the non-structure aspects. How to use the structure of the bamboo, and on this foundation how to handle the way of the bamboo material will affect the surface form indoors. In the end of this thesis, the author analyze the example of the bamboo applying. And combine to put forward the facial expression that can by this kind of material of the bamboo and the technical to develop the interior design again, and combine together with form, invoke a deep meaning of design form.
