Mankind is entering " post PC era ", and the mobile computing system, such as PDA is becoming increasingly common, we can use computers when we are moving to deal with our office work. These technologies will have profound effects on surveying if we apply them in this area. The developing trend of the surveying engineering is "the integrative internal and external work, the automatic data gathering and processing". The goal of this paper is to establish MSOS based on PDA, to integrate it with electronic surveying instrument. So it can be- used in the ground control surveying of railway surveying, the map surveying, road surveying and staking, to integrate data preparation, data acquision, data checking, data processing and outcome display into one system. The content that this paper studies includes the following several respects: This paper has made an analysis of several kinds of popular embedded operating systems and a comparison between them, then pointed out each kind of field with suitable operating system; The key factor of the realization of MSOS is the communication between PDA and the total station. There are three main ways that PDA communicates with external: serial communication , infrared communication , bluetooth communication. In view of the state of development of the measuring instrument at present, Data communication is realized by RS232-C in MSOS; In order to meet the needs of information sharing, on the basis of the realization of MSOS, the frame of the mobile surveying system, which is based on WAP technology, is put forward. This is also the trend of the movimg surveying office system; The model of road surveying and staking is investigated in details in this paper so as to survey and stake arbitrary route and the model establishes a strong theoretic foundation for the intergrative road surveying and staking. Two subsystems of MSOS ("The staking system of The three-dimension integrating for road" and "The transect data gathing system of The three-dimension integrating for road" ) are introduced at... |
