Qinghai-Tibet railway from Tanggula Mountain to Lasa city has 545 km, located at the Tibet municipality. The environment of the areas where the railway passing through is very frangible, once destroyed it is difficult to restore. Therefore, how to protect the environment has being concerned broadly, the Ministry of Railroad and the relative national department have give highly attention to that. Environment conservation, frozen earth and anoxic environment were considered as three difficult problems at building Qinghai -Tibet railway, which is an important estimate index to build the world railway and a ticket overrule to appraise whether if the project is the first-rate quality, which shows that protecting environment and project itself during the railway built were fused to an organic whole.Aimed at the character of Qinghai-Tibet railway building from Tanggula Mountain to Lasa city, according to the vegetation distributing character along railwa area, the paper was analyzed the influence of the railway building to vegetation around, and brought forward the treatment to protect alpine grassland. As vegetation reforger is one of the basis measurement of railway environment protection, and it has not been specially studied in the extreme inclemency denuded land, the vegetation reforger technology at the south of the Qinghai-Tibet railway from Tanggula Mountain to Lasa city was mainly studied basing on the accumulated data of the test. The result has important reference value to the large railway vegetation reforger project along the Qinghai-Tibet railway and great use to the environment conservation of other railway project building at alpine area.checked and verified by the data, investigated by the analogy of Qinghai-Tibet road, combining with the vegetation reforger test at Dangxiong and Anduo area, the conclusion was drawed as following:1. there are 8 types vegetation along the railway, such as alpine meadow, temperate grassland, alpine steppe and alpine meadow steppe. Project building would greatly influence the alpine meadow, temperate grassland, alpine steppe, alpine meadow steppe and farming vegetation, especially the taken field, discard field and roadbed station field. Therefore, we advice that vegetation reforger project must be taken at the taken field and discard field with controlling disturbedacreage and backfilling the surface soil, duplicate cultivation at the farmlands, vegetation reforger at side slope of roadbed station field, if need, improving the topsoil composition, loosing and harrowing the surface soil and mending the grass seed to accelerate vegetation restoration at the construction shortcut and construction camp.2. As the Alpine vegetation reforger is the basic measure to restore the destroyed vegetation, according to the Dangxiong and Anduo examinational results, we advise the project should be separated into Tanggula mountain section, Naqu section and Dangxiong section and make difference between keystone area, commonly area and natural restoration area, first Dangxiong section, second Naqu section and Tanggula Mountain on scheduling.3. At Dangxiong section , Elymus nutans Elymus sibiricus and Elymus dahuricus, could be selected as the main grass species, Bromus inermis Agropyron cristatum Elymus sibiricus var.brevipes as the assistant species. Elymus nutans Elymus sibiricus and Elymus dahuricus the main species, Leymus secalinus the assistant species at Naqu section. Elymus nutans and Elymus sibiricus the main species at Tanggula Mountain section.4. Soil improvement can be chosen by the requisition of project and the resource of utilization. At keystone field, 5-10cm of topsoil covered the surface layer, 15000kg of sheep excrement and 300kg of ammo-nium diacid phosphate applied to each Hectare. At commonly requisition field of vegetation reforger and topsoil cann't utilization of area , 15000kg of sheep excrement and 300kg of ammo-nium diacid phosphate applied to each Hectare with the advantage of the pasturing area. At lower requisition field of vegetation reforger and hypogenetic vegetation of area, 300kg of ammo-nium diacid phosphate applied to each Hectare.5. The planting scheme is based on the seed , adopting drill mode with the depth of 2-3cm, planting quantity according to the germination rate tested before planting, and the best planting time between the last ten-day of May month and the first ten days of July month at Dangxiong area, between the first ten-day of June month and the first ten-day of July month at Naqu area,6.
