This paper presents a new inverter based on Complex Programmable Logic Device (CPLD) as the controller, and demonstrates control principle and circuit in detail. The controlling method of this transducer is based on the Voltage Space Vector PWM(SVPWM) strategy. The thesis set up the sub-modules of SVPWM AC Drivers system by MatLab/SimuLink. The simulation of opened-loop are carried out. And the simulation results show the method is effective and accorded with the theoretics.Based on the simulation, this thesis is divided into different logical functions. The system control of the inverter are implemented by EPIK100QC208-2 CPLD, the ACEX1K CPLD. Fast speed, high reliability and ease of development are the advantages of CPLD which make the fully hardware-based inverter successful. The main circuit consists of an AC-DC-AC voltage VVVF device. Intelligent power module PM50RSE120 makes up of the inverter .Thus, the structure of the circuit is greatly simplified and the switching frequency is higher than that of other inverters.With this device ,Experiment of YS-90L2 AC drives based on SVPWM methods are carried out and the experimental results were concordant with those of simulation.
