With the popularization of automobile and improvement of the living standard day by day, People have put forward higher and higher demand to such respects as security , economy , handling stability of automobile. Side slipping is one of the factors influencing automobile tire wear and tear, handling stability and security. The statistics shows that the traffic accident caused by the tire side slipping accounts for about 30% of total amount of accidents.As one part of side slipping, random side slipping is changed by the distance of wheels caused by the road-surface undulation and influences tire wear and tear, handling stability and security especially on rough road. Compared with other respect research on automotive technology, it doesn't cause enough attention to the consequence caused by random side slipping. This paper systemically researches the principle of random side slipping and put forward the concept of "maximum random side slipping". A virtual model of double wishbone independent suspension is established with ADAMS and optimized to reduce random side slipping on the basis of analyzing the main factors that influence random side slipping.This paper summarizes the concept, classification, causes, influence and research status of tire side slipping and indicates that random side slipping is an important factor influencing tire wear and tear, handling stability and security and much more attention should be paid to it.The process of analyses of initial condition, kinematics and dynamics produced by ADAMS, software of virtual prototypinging technology is researched and the issue of constraint and optimization, the solving principle of Newton-Raphson numerical method, the process of Jacobin matrix of dynamics are explained in this paperThe principle of random side slipping is studied on the basis of tire's side lean characteristics and the statistics characteristics of road-surface undulation in this paper. A new concept "maximum random side slipping" is put forward and regarded as an important standard to evaluate random side slipping according to the reality that there is less research on random side slipping and no national standard to regulate it, which could be a reference for establishing a national standard later.A virtual model of half double wishbone independent suspension is set up with ADAMS and its validity is proved to be feasible. The key parameters of suspension are determined according to the wheel alignment. The model is simulated to find outhow the parameters of alignment and suspension influence the random side slipping when the wheel vibrating caused by the roughness of road surface.The most important parameters are found out through parameter optimization, which influence the random side slipping. The changes of parameters are analyzed and the final values of suspension parameters are determined which could be a reference for double wishbone independent suspension and other independent suspension designing.
