Auto-cascade refrigeration system is a kind of refrigeration, in which mixed refrigerant is employed and only single compressor is required. Different boiling point refrigerants are separated by a liquid-gas separator in this system, and then they exchange heat each other, and obtain ultra low temperature finally. The rectification device is a liquid-gas separator with high efficiency. Auto-cascade refrigeration system using a rectification device as the liquid-gas separator must has a bright future with advantages such as low cost, high efficiency.The main research contents of this thesis are as follow:1. The research history and present status of auto-cascade refrigeration system at home and abroad are reviewed. Future research direction is also pointed out.2. A newly rectification auto-cascade refrigeration system is proposed, and its working principle is also analyzed.3. The method of thermodynamic calculation of the system and design of the key components is described soundly.4. An experimental apparatus with rectification device is set up and experiments are successfully carried out. The regularity of performance parameters such as refrigeration temperature, COP and cooling velocity according to the variation of throttles' opening and composition proportion are obtained.
