Under the background of national 863 project development of intelligent instrument embedded software develop platform used for Status Monitoring and Fault Diagnosis of Large-scale Electromechanical Equipment (Task Number: 2002AA182308), following the developing requirements of equipment status monitoring and fault diagnosing system and combined with DSP technology and XScale-based embedded Linux system technology we put forward an application scheme accomplishing the portable embedded system for equipment status monitor and fault diagnose in this article. The article emphasizes the hardware design and software development of the data sampling and processing system based on DSP and the construction of the function modules running on the XScale-based embedded Linux operation system The article also gives detailed description on the practical application of the equipment status monitor and fault diagnosis embedded instrument we developed.Chapter 1 summarizes the general development situation and trend of the electromechanical equipment status monitoring and fault diagnosing technology and the related system and then it derives the necessity of developing the portable equipment status monitoring and fault diagnosing instrument based on DSP and embedded system technology. It also makes a fairy detailed introduction to the rejative key technology DSP and embedded system.Chapter 2 firstly expatiates the main structure of the typical DSP system and also studies the selection of DSP component and then it expatiates the advantage and feasibility of Linux system and XScale structure in the use of embedded system. Finally it put forwards the general scheme of the system this article studies.Chapter 3 studies the hardware design and software development of the data sampling and processing system based on the TMS320LF2407 processor. It particularly introduces the interface design of AD7874 and DSP, the communication circuit of DSP and the main control module and the main structure of the software.Chapter 4 studies the hardware system of the main controlling module based on XScale PXA250 processor. It also introduces the transplantation of rebuild Linux system on the platform and specially studies improvement of the kernel real time performance and the construction of the function application module.Chapter 5 introduces how to practically use the electromechanical equipment status. monitoring and fault diagnosing instrument developed on the basis of the technology of this article and combines it with the practical task.Chapter 6 summarizes the work above. According the trends of the relative fields abroad and home it brings out the further expectation of the equipment status monitoring and fault diagnosis system.
