Composite steel-concrete beams with profiled sheeting is a new type of element. In recent years, they are more and more widely used in high steel structures and industry workshops because of its favourable resistance capability and convenient construction. However, the domestic specification about composite steel-concrete beams with profiled sheeting is not complete yet and doesn't refer to the aspect of resistance to longitudinal shear of composite beams with profiled sheeting, and experimental study of this aspect is also blank. As the component of the emphases structure experimental item of JiangSu province, seven composite beams with profiled sheeting and night push-out tests have been carried out in order to study the effects of transverse reinforcement ratio and profiled sheeting on the resistance to longitudinal shear of composite steel-concrete beams with profiled sheeting.Based on experimental study, the effects of transverse reinforcement ratio and profiled sheeting on the resistance to longitudinal shear of composite steel-concrete beams with profiled sheeting have been study in this paper. Two theoretical methods is established based on two cracking models of the concrete slab, and they are in good agreement with the experimental results, which shows that the results can be applied to designs of practical engineering. In addition, the amended calculating method of deflection of the composite beams with profiled sheeting is advised in this paper based on study on the calculating methods in existence.Based on experimental study of push-outs, the calculating methods of stud connector in existence, including the domestic specification and Eurocode No.4. ect., were checked, and the factual resistance to shear of stud connector in composite steel-concrete beams with profiled sheeting is studied in this paper.
