| The composite steel-concrete beams with profiled sheeting are the system to be united steel beams and concrete slabs with profiled steel sheeting by shear connectors welded to steel beams. The profiled steel sheeting can be employed as the permanent formwork.. It can thus been seen that the time involved in construction is considerably shortened, the appropriate proprerties of materials are effectively utilized, and the obvious economical benefit is got. Over the recent years, the composite steel-concrete beams with profiled sheeting have been developed very fast in China. They are more and more widely used in constructional engineering. With the development of composite steel-concrete beams with profiled sheeting, the systematic study on its behavior draws wide attention. This paper focuses on following items. Firstly, on the basis of analysis of the related theory researches, testing datas, design and construction datas, it has a sufficient analysis in the problems of failure mechanism of shear connectors, shear characeristics, the main factors that affect the shear resistance. Then, a design theory and arrangement method of shear connector in composite steel-concrete beams with profiled sheeting is formulated. Secondly, load-deflection performance, typical failure modes and strain distribution are proposed in this thesis. The modified reduced rigidity method is derived to calculate the deformation and elastic flexural capacity of composite beams with profiled sheeting. The interpolation with all range of degree of shear connection, and the previous limit that the degree of shear connection should be higher because of the factor proved to be over-conservative. Next, the development of strain, the moment contributions of the three components and the failure modes of studys are analsed. The measures are presented to strength the resistance capacity of shear capacity. Besides, the reason and the main factors affecting are verified about negative moment on the border of the beams. With the consideration of cooperation action of the system in the beams, the main factors that affect the flexural capacity of the beams are discussed. Last, there is a statement that composite steel-concrete beams with profiled sheeting are applied in the passenger footbridge. Practise proves that this kind of beams should have a widely application in constructional engineering because of the advantages. |
