As the representative of modern electrical machines, switched reluctance machine combines the electrical machine theories with the modem power electronic technique and the advanced microprocessor control technique, which not only has low-cost strong structure, good fault-tolerant and heat-resistant capability but also has excellent controllability. It develops with the progress of micro-electronics technology, control technology ,power electric and modern computer technology. It has the traits of simple structure, high dependability, flexible control and high efficiency. It has been used in several industry departments and has a nicer future. Thus, switched reluctance machine as motor is widely used in drive and speed regulation field.Dissertation researched on the switched reluctance motor control system, which takes TI DSP as the control core. Designing a control scheme based on position sensor. The paper offers a system survey of SRD, including developing process and trend. The operational principle, structure and characteristics of SRM are also cited. The H-type power converter and novel switch mode are analyzed in detail. The paper also offers SRM control system design of hardware based on DSP of TI. The control system includes detector circuit, protection circuit, control and man-machine interface circuit, which makes full use of DSP resources for high reliability and simplified the construction of system. In order to read and maintain easy, a microprogramming modular is adopted in system software design. A new control strategy of voltage and current PWM is realized for improving motor's working efficiency. System software modules associating the hardware circuit make system perfect performance. The last section presents system experiment results under the load condition. The results prove that the control conception and method are correct.The paper also researched on the exciting and protection of IGBT. Concluding a utility method of calculating the parameters of protection net of IGBT through theory deducing.
