Industrial Computerized Tomography (ICT) is a kind of imaging technology integrating computer technology with radiology. The 2D Gray-Scale image of detected sectional plane obtained by it can clearly, exactly and intuitively show the internal structure features, material density and flaw status of the detected object without damage. The technology finds wide application in NDT, NDE, CAD, RM of new products and other fields with considerable merit. As analyzed in the first part of the paper the control system of ICT can realize the control functions for CT scanning process, DR scanning process, speed of scanning movement, movement location, data acquisition, self-check of system, safe interlock protect and so on. Traditional control system based on DOS meets the needs of parallel multitask in modern ICT system in failure, which makes it imperative to develop a control system of ICT machine with Windows 2000. According to the feature of ICT control system, the author puts forward the overall structure of control system of ICT based on Windows 2000. The main console is designed with such functions as power control, system monitoring, safe interlock status and control. The control method and overall structure of control software agreeing with the scanning movement features of ICT are presented and analyzed in depth. The structure and control circuitry of the field console are designed and the application software is also developed according to the features of field operation and the functions needed by the field console. Industrial CT scanning and movement controls based on Windows 2000 are studied in the final part of the paper. WDM is a completely new driver mode strongly recommended by the Microsoft Company, aiming to simplify the development of device driver programme by providing a flexible method thus reducing the quantity and complexity of the necessary programmes developed based on supporting new hardware. Taking the device driver on PCL839 3-axis speed stepping motor control card as an example, the way to develop the driver programme of the control device for scanning movement of ICT with WDM is researched and the intercourse process between device driver programme and user programme is analyzed.
