Power system is a complicated system consisted of equipment such as generation of electricity, transfer of electricity, transmission of electricity, use of electricity and corresponding auxiliary equipment. System may be destroyed when doing experiment and research in a real power system. Considering economy security, we often set up a similar model of power system and indirectly study its rules. This indirect experiment technology is called power system simulation technology.In the development of power system, simulation technology has been played an important role. On account of restrict of laboratory and device, digital-simulative simulation equipment can't be infinite. But along with computer soft-hard ware rapid development, digital simulation of power system is being paid attention because it can ensure security of studied system and has good economy convenience. Digital simulation has made great achievement and has become important tool on power system design, plan, test and analysis; corresponding decision is made according as result of digital simulation. But digital simulation isonly imitation, either more or less errors are existed between digital simulation and real system, more or less errors have essential action. Therefore simulation veracity should be assured to the best.Power system digital simulation includes steps such as setting up mathematical model of studied objects, converting mathematical model into algorithm into simulation model, developing kinds of simulation software and doing simulation test, analyzing software performance and test result, modifying and adjusting simulation model for meeting real system request.Setting up mathematical model and converting into simulation model is basic work of system simulation. A mass of study on power system engineering and accident simulation indicates that simulation model and parameter have important influence on power system simulation precision and reliability. Just about this reason, choosing dynamic power system simulation model research as paper task has real meaning.Power system is consisted of kinds of components, dynamic characteristics of components has direct effect, first this paper analyzes dynamic characteristics and models for synchronous machines excitation system steam hydro-turbine and control system load. Considering request difference such as simulation test research simulation train simulation, system model precise is different. Therefore when setting up components mathematical models, on the one hand, models is as possible as exact to show system characteristic, on the other hand, simplifying model to meet different fact request.For power system whole simulation model, this paper discusses a few common dynamic (machinery transient) simulationmodels and algorithm, analyzes every model advantages and disadvantages, points out respective application range. Considering simulation models and algorithm on hidden ladder integration are simulation trend, detailed discuss are done. Due to solving differential equation, this paper also discuss solution of differential equation, emphasizes precision and numerical value stability about calculation methods, which are concerned.Finally doing simulation experiment to a fact system. Along with deep application of simulation technology, request for simulation platform is higher. This paper uses BLOCK LINK, which is simulator develop system running in WINDOWS NT/2000, can develop debug run models. This paper introduces its main characteristics and modeling idea.Through analyzing result of experiment, it is indicated that mathematical models, simulation models and algorithm are correct.
