For the present, the destruction of bridge deck pavement has become one of the major diseases on freeway, severely affects the safety and the comfort or driving vehicles, and makes huge economic loss. However, the study of bridge deck pavement in our country is carried out very late, and relevant study is less, especially the study aimed for the macro-span concrete bridge is even less. Now the pavement of the concrete bridge often agrees to the practical experience in our country. There are only a few people try studying it from vary aspects, but they haven't come to terms with each other, and their viewpoints haven't hardly been applied to the projects all the same. Nowadays the condition of the study evidently can't keep up with the footsteps of the development of highway construction in our country.Therefor this paper incorporates the Henan traffic scientific and technological project technical study of the asphalt concrete pavement of the especial large concrete bridge" with itself , combining experiments with theories analysis. First, it summarizes the study achievements about the asphalt concrete deck pavement both home and abroad, investigates some asphalt concrete pavements of bridges in Henan, and the causes are analyzed according to the main failure types, then the two design control index, that is, tensile strength index and shearing strength index, of the asphalt concrete deck pavement are presented.Second, it takes the 100-span through tied arch bridge of the second Huanghe River Bridge as object, analyzing the mechanical properties of the pavement with ANSYS, which is the current available software of FEM in the word. To lessen calculation and raise the precision, it analyzes the whole structure of the arch bridge with coarser mesh in the first place to determine the most disadvantageous loading position of the whole bridge, then it meshes the pavement around the most disadvantageous loading position with finer mesh, ulteriorly analyzes the transformation rules of design index and presents the corresponding three-dimensional graphs at the adverse loading cases of every index. In addition, to ascertain the influence of cyclic load to all index, it studies the transformation rules of them on the condition of vary coefficient of surcharge and the horizontal friction. The result shows that it is the most important to control shearing failure between deck and pavement.Third, it carries out some relevant in-and-outdoors experiments to investigate the influence of different waterproof-and-bonding materials amount, vertical stress and the temperature on the interlayer shearing strength, obtains the formula of relationship between deck and pavement shearing strength and binding strength under vary temperatures, and ascertains the interlayer stable control index under 15°C, that is, the allowable bonding strength, which is 0.4318 MPa.Finally, it discusses the construction technique of waterproofing layer and the asphalt concrete deck pavement. All in all, this paper has very important reference value for the design, the material selection and the construction controlling of the deck pavement to the second Huanghe River Bridge and the analogous bridges.
