Reliability of engineering structures is composed of three contents, which are safety, serviceability and durability. Structure in wearing out one, the influence of different factors makes the structure risk rate increase, these impacts on structure serviceability and security of factor form the durability question of structure, it is the important factor of influencing structure dependability too. Important component of studying in durability of the bridge that the durability assessment of in-service bridge is, it is an element task of the dependability assessment too, can offer scientific basis for the decision-make of maintained and strengthening in the bridge. And it has two choices, which is to strengthen or rebuild for Transformation of the bridge, the maintenance and strengthening scheme's value is to be max and give play to the most greatly, make the best comprehensive benefit. At first, the actuality and existing problem of durability assessment method of concrete structures are looked back and analyzed. According to international research results and current norm, and intergrading with the research results in engineering, the division or adjustment to that the classification standard of the influence factor carried on, a hierarchy process structures of durability evaluation index system of concrete bridge has been established, which was on the basis of analyzing the major factors influenced concrete structure durability. Directing against this subject for research of durability assessment of in-service bridge, this paper put forward on durability assessment method of concrete bridge based on the fuzzy-matter-element analysis after analyzed and summarized the other assessment method. Try to carry on the discussion to the durability assessment method of the bridge through new angle and method. Variable weigh is adopted to reflect the contribution of different degree of durability deterioration of index to the evaluation. Thinking of many kinds of influence factors of the decision-make of maintenance and strengthening in the bridge, is it to carry on function analyze for maintenance and strengthening scheme of bridge, set up the function evaluation index system of maintenance and strengthening scheme of bridge; carry on comprehensive evaluation to the function of the system by the comprehensive evaluation method of weigh, combine theory of Value Engineering, has proposed the decision model of the maintenance and strengthening scheme based on Value Engineering and variable weigh comprehensive evaluation.
