ITS(Intelligent Transport system) is a huge complex opening system in anemerging interdisciplinary research area. One important aspect in ITS is the vehiclenavigation system which is found on global position system, geographicinformation system and GSM system. In recent year, it has become important in thefield of vehicle navigation system how to integrate GPS technology with deadreckoning system and map-matching system.This dissertation is based on the item of National Key Science and Technologyof China "Development of the Informational Installation Loaded in Vehicle".Themain content of this dissertation is the study how the vehicle is located accuratelyreliably and instantly, which is one of the important content of the traffic guidesystem.At first, this paper introduced research and using status of vehicle navigationsystem in national and oversea. It has compared all kinds of advantages anddisadvantages about vehicle location systems. We have adopted the integratedlocation system of GPS/DR to solve the problem that the vehicle can not locatedaccurately reliably and instantly with the signal information of the GPS by havinganalyzed the system of GPS and DR.The main content of this dissertation includes 4 parts: designing the constituteframe and realized design on the system , establishing and simulating the model forthe data processing of the combination location system, systematically analyzed themap-matching method, opting the components and developing and debuggingcombination location management software. The result of the simulation indicatesthis model can meet the reliability and positioning accuracy of the combinationnavigation system.The is divided into six chapters, and the content of each chapter is following:1).The first chapter the basis, the background and the necessary of theresearch. While,it analyzes the systematic contents of ITS, and the task of the thesis,establishing the base for the latter parts. 2).The second chapter firstly made a comprehensive study of majorland-vehicle positioning technologies. The position system has used to give firstplace to with GPS locate,dead reckoning system and map-matching system are thesubdominant ones. Then intrduced the principles about the GPS system and theDRsystem. In this chapter ,we use the multi-sensor data fusion to processing theinformation of the combined navigation system by having analyzed the error of thesystem. This paper adopts the adaptive federated kalman filter , introducing theprinciple of the kalman filter , federated kalman filter and the adaptive federatedkalman filter. Finally establishing mathematics model according toabove-mentioned principle , and simulating test. 3)The map-matching method, through which the digital map information canbe used to calibrate the vehicle location estimation provided by positioning system,is systematically analyzed. The definition of the truth degree for map-matchingcalibrations and its implementation algorithm are presented based on the fuzzylogic comprehensive judgement theory. 4).In the third chapter we introduce the overall design of the combinationlocation firstly. Then have introduced the two important parts in this managementsoftware :1) series communication program ;2) Kalman filter program. Thefunction of series communication program read the location data of combinationnavigation system; Kalman filter program accomplishes data processing. 5).The experiment and result analysis of the location system. In order tovalidate the validity of the system, we did .the running test, analyzed and revisedthe algorithm of the integrated location and map-matching. These results of thisresearch reveal the influence that individual sensor error parameters have on theintegrated system's positioning performance, and are valuable to be used to identifylocation system designs. 6).
