In important distribution power system for station, in order to keep power supplying incessantly, it is regular to equip two powers: primary power and spare power. It is clear that the transferring between the powers becomes where the shoes pinches. The conventional spare power automation transfer device which can transfer successfully in usual occasion can not transfer successfully when the loads are induction-motors. In order to resolve the problem, the theory analysis and practical design are studied, which rely on the scientific research item on the study of a microprocessor-based plant-power fast transfer device from XJ Electric Corporation. The valuable productions are ultimately obtained.The contents that are introduced in the thesis are as follows:First, this text introduces the current situation on plant-power fast transfer at home and abroad, and points out the extant problem and the urgency to be solved.Secondly, on the basis of analysing extant problem, the thesis has proposed that the switch result will be perfect if we adopt new switch mode which includes high-speed transfer, synchronization capture transfer and slow transfer. The corresponding theoretic transfer criterions are provided in the article. According to the locale requirement, the blue print has designed various kinds of functions that the device should have.Then, according to the functions that the equipment should realize, the choosing principle for the hardware is confirmed on the whole. The device mainly recurs to the hardware of the 800 series product from XJ company.
