The article is the comparative study on indoor space and decorationcharacteristics of Qiang and Tibetan stone house in Aba Autonomous Prefecture. Bothexterior factors, like geography, climate and interior factors, such as culture, historyare particularized in the following five chapters, all of which are recognized asinfluencing factors to the local stone houses. And, on this base, the article makes adetailed analysis of the in-door space and structure.Chapter one discusses the exterior reasons of the formation of Qiang and Tibetanstone houses in Aba district and the influences to the stone houses through cultureintercommunication between them.Chapter two discusses the stone house-related contents in Qiang and Tibetan'snational history, separately. And also, this chapter specifies the profound influences ofreligious belief to the local stone houses.Chapter three analyses the space characteristics of the local stone houses of Qiang andTibetan through both pictures and texts. It also makes the detailed analysis to theunique space division, light control, function separation.Chapter four analyses the interior arranging and furniture style in Qiang and Tibetanstone houses.Chapter five, starting with detailed structures and decorations, carries out a deep studyon the doors, windows, eaves, pillars of the local stone houses.
