This project is self-planning engineering application research project, The mainpurpose is to reconstruct all-purpose tool microscope which is widely used in factorypractice, and to get a set of micro-measurement system, finish micro-zoom on miniatureparts and image capture,process and measure. Finally, we get size result of the measuredparts'character and analysis precision to measurement result.In the recent ten years, the speed of machine tools grow faster and faster. Seeingfrom measurement field, a part of measurement instrument made notable progress in thefield of high-speed and automatization. But seeing from whole industry, the progress thatmeasurement instruments made in the field of high-speed and automatization is far laggedbehind machine tools, so it makes unbalance between steps. In order to promote measureefficiency and shorten delivery date,intensify couple with other steps and make goodsstream flowing fluently, putting advanced image processing technology into measurementfield is a main research task now, it's also a new tendency in recent measurementtechnology.The universal tool microscope is a kind of micro-measurement instrument whichwidely used in factory application, the traditional measure mode is operated by people,gathering data point with eyes, manual analysis and process measured data. This modehave many limitation, such as: read data makes eyes tired easily, so it has impact on dataprecision, and makes measure efficiency grow lower, huge data capacity etc. Our projectis also based on this consideration, putting machine vision technology intomicro-measurement field in order to make micro-measurement high-speed andautomatization.In this paper, the author firstly analyzes the general situation on micro-vision indomestic and overseas, research relative problems on micro-measurement, anddetermines the total research scheme of system design. Then interpret how to designsoftware and hardware part such as step-driven,optical micro-system,video capture,sensors,clamps etc. Finally completed following works:(1)based on a universal toolmicroscope, we built a micro-measurement platform. This platform controlled bycomputer, completing work table's plane movement at x-y direction use stepmotor,reading data of accessory position use sensors, processing image use CCD camera. Thewhole measure process has been completed by computer, no need or need a little manualintervene.(2) Programming and debugging with C++ builder advanced language forprocessing and measuring of the micro-image; (3) completed data interchange withAutoCAD software; (4) Aimed at this kind of special geometry measurement, We presenterror factors which affect measurement results, and apply precision analysis onmeasurement results. Finally, we have done some experiments on this system. It is shownthat the system has partial feasibility, reached practical level to parts micro-measurementwhich make up of simple elements such as point,line,circle ect. This research will be of great importance in the manufacturing and inspection ofminiature parts in the field of domestic mechanism, electronics and integrate circuits. Itwill also be of great practical sense when the technology is used into production and beenput into the market.
