With the development of aerospace industry and improvement of industrial products precision,micro structure machining has been widely used for various kinds of parts processing in aerospace manufacturing.In this paper,machine vision measurement technology is used in studying and developing a measurement system and an automatic generation system of machining program for the researching aerospace part by analyzing its structural characteristics,measurement accuracy requirements,and processing requirements,etc.The development of this set of system could expend the application scope of machine vision measurement for the first try of combining machine vision measurement technology and automatic generation of machining program which would promote manufacturing automation and production efficiency.First of all,the structural features of the aerospace part is analyzed,which showed the surface copper ring was thin,the space among copper rings were narrow,and there were too many copper rings and so on.Due to the traditional measurement methods fail to guarantee processing precision to accomplish the measurement mission,the idea of designing vision measurement systems to measure micro structures of the aerospace part by machine vision measurement method was proposed.Secondly,hardware system of vision measurement system for the aerospace part was designed.Images were taken with P3-S0-16k40 CMOS line array digital industrial camera with Myutron SP10 lens in the way of side lighting which light was released from LED strip light source.These images were then trasfered by X64 Xcelera-CL PX4 SE series digital image acquisition card produced by Teledyne DALSA Corporate to PC terminal.Moreover,a reasonable mechanical structure was designed providing coordination work among each component to ensure clearly digital images.Thirdly,the software system was developed to integrate image processing stages including image preprocessing,image segmentation,edge detection,midline delineation,data output and so on to achieve a key image processing.In addition,the program automatic generation module was created based on text insertion technology to whcih input image processing data one could get NC turning program used for producing and manufacturing.Machine vision measurement and NC program automatic generation both were realized.Finally,experimental verification of system measurement precision was carried out which showed the maximum error value of measured result and real value was-0.0087 mm that met the design required measurement error ±0.01 mm.The accuracy of image processing algorithm in measurement system was verified.
